FULLERTON, Calif.  – The Long Beach State women's volleyball team recorded a 3-0 sweep (25-12, 25-15, 25-15) of Cal State Fullerton in the Titans final home match of the season on Friday night at Titan Gym.

With the win, Long Beach State improves to 18-10 overall and 12-3 in Big West Conference action.

The Titans (6-23, 1-14 BWC) have now lost 14 straight as the season concludes at CSUN on Saturday.

Nele Barber led the 49ers with 13 kills attacking at a clip of .417, while Missy Owens piloted the offense with 31 assists. Hailey Harward added a match-high 18 digs.

As a team, LBSU hit .474 (44-8-76) and totaled eight team blocks.

Shimen Fayad and Madeline Schneider led Cal State Fullerton with six kills apiece. Rachel Hall added 11 assists and Katie Roux totaled seven digs.

The Titans hit .037 (22-19-81) as a team.

Cal State Fullerton will play its final match of the season at CSUN on Saturday with the start time set for 4 p.m.

Notes: Cal State Fullerton is on a 14-match losing streak…the Titans have lost nine straight to the 49ers as LBSU leads the all-time series 70-5…Fullerton has been swept 13 times in 2016 and is 2-22 when losing the first set.
