Titans Welcome Fezzey for 2017-18
FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton volleyball program announced the commitment of Riverside native Tyler Fezzey as the John W. North High School senior signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her career at CSF for the 2017-18 academic year.

 

"I'm so excited that Tyler is joining our Titan family," second-year volleyball head coach Ashley Preston said.  "She is a powerful lefty who will make our offense more versatile. Most important, she is a great student aspiring to make the most of her four years at Fullerton."

Fezzey was is a three-time all-Inland Valley League (2013-15) and three-time all-county (2103-15) selection, playing four years on the varsity squad for head coach Lillian McCandless as both an opposite hitter and a setter.

Following her junior season in 2015, she was named Team MVP and also MVP of the Inland Valley League.

Fezzey partially missed her senior season in 2016, but was still named tournament MVP and to all-tournament teams in the early part of the year.

In the summer of 2016, Fezzey played in the European Global Challenge representing the United States, winning gold in the U-17 division.

She is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate, maintaining a 4.6 grade point average with multiple honor roll accolades.

While at Cal State Fullerton, Fezzey plans to major in business.

In addition to her academic honors, Fezzey has been bestowed the Hourglass Award from seventh through 12th grades for completing 100 hours of community service each year as part of the National Charity League.

Cal State Fullerton's 2016 regular season comes to a close this week as the Titans host Long Beach State at 7 p.m., Friday, at Titan Gym, followed by a 4 p.m. start at CSUN on Saturday.
