The Titans (6-17, 1-8) have now lost eight in a row, while the Rainbow Wahine, winners of four straight, improve to 16-5 overall and 9-1 in league play.
Annie Mitchem totaled a match-high 13 kills for Hawai'i, while McKenna Granato added nine kills and three digs as the Rainbow Wahine hit .316 (47-11-114) as a team. Norene Iosia led the Raibow Wahine offense with 32 assists, Savanah Kahakia added 15 digs and Emily Maglio totaled six blocks.
The Titans were led by Madeline Schneider's 11 kills, while Shimen Fayad just missed out on a double-double with nine kills and 13 digs. Rachel Hall delivered 32 assists and Madisen Babich totaled 23 digs.
In the second set, Fullerton and the Wahine were even at 13-13 before UH scored 12 unanswered to take a 2-0 lead in the match. During the stretch, Hawai'i totaled seven kills and Fullerton committed five errors.
In the first set Hawai'i hit at a clip of .263 (15-5-38), while the Titans were held to a .091 (11-8-33) attacking percentage.
The Titans are on the road next week playing Long Beach State at 7 p.m., Tuesday and UC Riverside at 7 p.m., Friday.
Notes: Cal State Fullerton is 4-19 in the first set this season…UH is an undefeated 37-0 in the all-time series against Cal State Fullerton…the Titans have been swept eight times this season.
