UC DAVIS
It's just one match for Cal State Fullerton this weekend as UC Davis (8-8, 1-2) visits Titan Gym for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday. The Aggies will travel to UC Santa Barbara on Thursday before playing the Titans two days later.

ESPN3
Saturday's match against UCD will be featured as part of the Big West Conference's fall television schedule on ESPN3. Trent Schlom will handle the play-by-play duties while Megan Reza will serve as the analyst.

QUICK RECAP
Last week, Cal State Fullerton suffered back-to-back straight-set losses beginning with UC Irvine at Titan Gym on Sept. 28, before traveling to then 13th-ranked Hawai'i on Friday. Cal State Fullerton has been swept six times in 2016.

TICKETS
Tickets for all Titans home games can be purchased online at FullertonTitans.com, or at the Cal State Fullerton Athletics Ticket Office, located in the Titan House on campus off of Gymnasium Drive on the northeast side of Titan Gym. Game day sales and will call tickets will open one hour prior to the scheduled time at the specific venue. All Cal State Fullerton students with a school ID get free admission.

UC DAVIS NOTES
• UC Davis (8-8, 1-2) picked up its first Big West Conference win of the 2016 season, outlasting UC Irvine in a four-set road tilt on Saturday.
• Redshirt freshman Heather Reed still leads the Big West Conference with 4.66 digs per set (270 total)
• Sophomore middle blocker Kelechi Ohiri remains atop the blocks leaderboard at 1.34, just ahead of Hawaii's duo of Emily Maglio (1.33) and Nikki Taylor (1.22)
• As a team, UC Davis ranks second in both digs (16.12) and opposinghitting average (.201).

ABOUT THE TITANS
• Cal State Fullerton (6-11, 1-2 BWC), who was winless in 2015, has already secured six victories this season.
• The Titans ended a 19-match Big West Conference losing streak with a 3-1 victory over UC Riverside on Sept. 24.
• Cal State Fullerton's 14.98 digs per set rank third in the Big West Conference.
Summer Kerins ' .326 hitting percentage leads Cal State Fullerton and ranks fifth in the Big West. 
Shimen Fayad's 3.48 kills per set rank sixth in the conference, and her 0.28 service aces per set rate eighth in the league.

2016 SEASON HONORS
Career highs in kills and digs from Shimen Fayad helped the Titan volleyball team win its first conference opener in five years and earned her Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors on Sept. 26.
The 6-foot outside hitter tallied 27 kills and 22 digs to spearhead Fullerton to a four-set victory over UC Riverside on Sept. 24. It was Fayad's team-leading ninth double-double of the year.
The win over the Highlanders snapped a 19-match Big West Conference losing streak that dated back to Nov. 15, 2014.
Fayad, who hit a torrid .390 for the match with just four errors in 59 attempts, became even more productive as the match wore on. She was responsible for 10 of Fullerton's 13 kills, including match point, in the fourth and final set.  She hit .769 in that set.

GAME NOTES
• The Titans' 19-match Big West Conference losing streak was snapped in the 3-1 win over UCR on Sept. 24 which dated back to Nov. 15, 2014, when they captured a 3-0 victory over the Highlanders.
Shimen Fayad's 27 kills against UCR were the most for any Titan in 2016
• Dating back to 1980, Cal State Fullerton is 5-32 in conference opening matches...playing at home in conference openers, the Titans are 4-14…Cal State Fullerton won its first Big West Conference opener since a 3-0 sweep of Cal Poly at Titan Gym on Sept. 23, 2011.

ACES WILD
Shimen Fayad had quite a day at the line in the opening weekend as she served up six aces in one match to help Cal State Fullerton defeat Mississippi Valley State. With her half-dozen service aces, Fayad made her way into the Titans' single-match record book as she tied for fourth most aces in a single match. She now leads the team with 16 aces on the year to average 0.32 per set. 

UP NEXT
Fullerton's 3 p.m. match with UC Davis on Saturday is the first of a three-match homestand for the Titans. Following Saturday's contest with the Aggies on ESPN3, Cal Poly will visit at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14 and UC Santa Barbara will play at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15.
