Ruya Inalpulat Appointed Assistant Coach/SID

Fullerton, Calif. - Former Titan women's tennis standout Ruya Inalpulat today was appointed assistant coach/sports information assistant for women's tennis at Cal State Fullerton.

Inalpulat, 21, was a four-year letterwinner and played primarily at No. 1 singles for the Titans and Head Coach Bill Reynolds. The native of Ankara, Turkey, was 17-13 at No. 1 singles last season and had a 17-9 record in doubles. She was selected to the All-Big West Conference second team for doubles and was honorable mention for both singles and doubles in her junior year.

Inalpulat made the honor roll in each of her four seasons. She capped it last year by earnng an Arthur Ashe Scholarship Award for outstanding achievements both on and off the tennis court. She received her bachelors degree in communications in December and hopes to someday direct and produce movies.

She will assist Coach Reynolds with website update of results as well as serving as the primary media contact for the sport beginning with Sunday's home match vs. San Francisco.
