FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton senior women's tennis player Gina Le (Mission Viejo, Calif.) was named the first Big West Conference Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after posting a victory over a nationally ranked foe in the Titans' season opener.

Le defeated San Diego State's Holly Bagshaw, who was ranked No. 51 in the FILA Collegiate Tennis Rankings at the time of the match, by the score of 3-6, 7-5 (10-8) at No. 1 singles back on Jan. 20 in San Diego.

The victory was the lone point for the Titans as the Aztecs, ranked No. 39 in the nation at the time, went on to post a 6-1 win over Cal State Fullerton.

The Titans, who play at the University of San Diego on Wednesday (Jan. 24), return home on Sunday (Jan. 28) at 11 a.m., as they take on San Francisco at the Titan Tennis Courts.
