Singles - Main Draw | Doubles - Main Draw | Singles - Consolation

FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton sophomores Malorie dela Cruz and Tiffany Mai along with freshman Morgan McIntosh each posted singles victories on Friday to help pace the Titans' performance in day one of the Fall Intercollegiates at the Titan Courts.

Each player had a first-round bye, but followed with straight set victories in the second round to advance in the main draw which picks up on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.

In her opener, dela Cruz defeated Cal State Bakersfield's Ashley Thorneycroft, 6-3, 6-0, to set up a match against Long Beach State's Ania Jeczmionka on day two. Mai lost only one game in defeating UC Riverside's Jamie Raney, 6-0, 6-1, and will meet another 49er in Julie Luzar on Saturday.

McIntosh did her teammates one better, advancing without losing a single game with a 6-0, 6-0, shutout of Portland State's Kylea Gleason.

In doubles play, all three Titan teams are alive in the second round which beings on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. McIntosh and Mai will meet Cal State Northridge's Maria Pistalu and Nigora Sirojiddinova, dela Cruz and Megan Sandford will take on UC Riverside's Jamie and Taylor Raney, and Leslie Bullock and Monica Rodriguez will meet Long Beach State's Rachel Manasse and Kladudia Malenovska.
