FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton junior Tiffany Mai posted wins in both her singles and doubles matches on Saturday afternoon, but visiting UC Santa Barbara came away with a victory in the match, downing the host Titans, 6-1, at the Titan Tennis Courts.

The loss dropped Fullerton to 6-10 overall on the season and 0-5 in Big West Conference play with three league matches remaining this week on the road to close out the regular season. The Gauchos improved to 9-13 overall and 4-3 in the Big West.

Mai teamed up with Morgan McIntosh for an 8-7 (10-8) win at the No. 1 doubles spot, but UCSB won the remaining two contests by the scores of 8-1 and 8-2 to clinch the doubles point and take an early, 1-0, lead in the match.

The Gauchos then claimed five of the six singles matches in straight sets save for Mai's three-set marathon at the top spot as she defeated Sofia Novak, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, for Fullerton's lone point.

The Titans' season-ending road trip begins on Thursday (April 19) at 2 p.m. with a match at UC Riverside before Fullerton heads to Northern California for contests at UC Davis on Saturday (April 21) and Pacific on Sunday (April 22), both beginning at 11 a.m.
