FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team (1-4, 0-2) couldn't overcome injuries to two of its top players in a 5-0 Big West Conference defeat to UC Davis (5-4, 1-1) Saturday on Titan Courts.

For the third straight match the Titans were without their top player, Erin Wiesener (foot), and senior starter Cheyenne Inglis (wrist). The loss of two of its top players was too much for CSF to overcome.

The No. 2 doubles team of Brandy Andrews and Jaycee Cruz tried to keep things close in their match against Dahra Zamudio and Herzly Legaspi - the Aggies top two singles players - but eventually went down 8-4.

UC Davis took advantage of solid play from the bottom of its order to clinch the match. Lani Agsalud, Brandy Andrews, Jaycee Cruz and Karina Akhmedova gave it their all, but all lost in two sets.

The top two Titans each pushed their matches to a third set but with the match already decided, Leslie Bullock and Shelly Injejikian received DNF's for their effort.

Bullock was leading 4-1 in the third set of her match with Zamudio and was close to picking up a point for the Titans when the match was called.

The Titans are scheduled to make up their match against UC San Diego on Tuesday, Feb. 17, on Titan Courts at 2 p.m.
