SAN DIEGO, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team was shutout in its season opener on Saturday evening in "America's Finest City," falling to host and No. 53-ranked San Diego State, 7-0, at the Aztec Tennis Center.
SDSU (2-1), which defeated UC Riverside by the same score earlier in the day, swept through doubles to take an early 1-0 lead in the match before winning all six singles matches in straight sets to clinch the shutout.
Fullerton opens a stretch of seven-straight home matches on Wednesday (Feb. 1) at 2 p.m. as the Titans host UC San Diego at the Titan Tennis Courts.
