SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The No. 5 seeded Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team fell 4-1 in their quarterfinal match against the No. 4 seeded Long Beach State on Thursday afternoon at the Barnes Tennis Center. 

The Titans finished the season with a 15-8 overall record and in a five-way tie for second place with a 6-3 conference record under first year Head Coach Trang Hyunh-McClain.  

The Titans led early in the match before Long Beach rallied for four straight wins in singles.  

The Titans took an early lead over Long Beach State after getting the doubles point.  The No. 2 pairing of Zoe Olmos and Milena Gevorgyan were the first to finish and won 6-3.  The No. 1 pairing of Natalie Duffy and Camila Garcia were defeated 7-5.  The No. 3 pairing of Diana Yanotovskaya and Kaytlin Taylor won 6-4 to clinch the doubles point.

In singles, Long Beach rallied to win four straight singles matches over the Titans.  Justine Dondonay defeated Kaytlin Taylor 6-3, 6-1 in No. 6 singles.  Rhona Cook defeated Diana Yanotovskaya 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 in No. 3 singles.  Peppi Ramstedt defeated Natalie Duffy 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-0 in No. 2 singles.  Doga Akyurek defeated Mariia Nikitash 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
