SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team lost 4-2 on the road on Sunday against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos at the Arnhold Tennis Center.

The Titans fall to 13-7 overall for the season and 5-3 in conference play. The Titans are in a three-way tie for third place with CSUN and Cal Poly.  

The Titans once again had to play from behind after dropping the doubles point.  

The No. 3 pairing of Diana Yanotovskaya/Kaytlin Taylor made quick work of the Gauchos No. 3 pairing by winning 6-0.  However, the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams for the Gauchos were able to sweep the Titans No. 1 and No. 2 teams 6-0.

In singles, the Titans tried to comeback after being down a point.  Zoe Olmos lost in No. 2 singles against Camille Kiss 6-3, 6-1.  Mariia Nikitash picked up the first Titans point in No. 6 singles after defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-1.  Kira Reuter defeated Diana Yanotovskaya (6-1, 6-2) to give the Gauchos match point after No. 3 singles.  Milena Gevorgyan got the only other Titan point in No. 4 singles after defeating Valentina Khrebtova 6-3, 6-3. Amelia Honor defeated Natalie Duffy 7-5, 6-1 in No. 1 singles to give the Gauchos the match point over the Titans.

The Titans will be on the road for one more game at Pomona-Pitzer on Thursday at 5:00 pm before returning home for their final regular season match against UC Riverside on Saturday, April 22nd. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.  The TItans will honor their two seniors after the match in Camila Garcia and Megan Tagaloa.
