FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team lost a conference matchup at home against Long Beach State on Friday afternoon at the Titan Courts.  

The Titans fall to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in conference play for the season.

The Titans had to play from behind after dropping the doubles point against Long Beach. 

DOUBLES

1. Sheena Masuda/Justine Dondonay (LBSU) def. Natalie Duffy/Mariia Nikitash (CSF) 6-2 
2. Peppi Ramstedt/Rhona Cook (LBSU) def. Zoe Olmos/Milena Gevorgyan (CSF) 6-4 
3. Diana Yanotovskaya/Kaytlin Taylor (CSF) vs. Mathilde Tranberg/Hana Becirovic Novak (LBSU) 5-6, unfinished
Order of Finish: 1, 2

The Titans also had to play from behind in singles after dropping two matches to fall behind 3-0 after dropping the No. 3 and No. 4 matches.  The Titans rallied and came back after No. 5 Kaytlin Taylor won her match in three sets and No. 1 Zoe Olmos won her match in straight sets.  The Titans almost came all the way back but No. 6 Mariia Nikitash couldn't finish opponent off to tie the match at 3-3 and instead went to the tiebreak.  No. 2 Natalie Duffy came close to finishing in straight sets but ultimately lost the tiebreak and was finished off in the third and final set to hand Long Beach State the win.

The Titans head out on the road for the first time in 9 matches when they will take on the CSUN Matadors on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
