FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team carried their momentum with them from Sunday as they were able to have a perfect day on the court on Thursday, sweeping matches against the University of St. Thomas and Sacramento State at home.  The Titans went a perfect 8-0 for the day with two 4-0 sweeps over their opponents.

The Titans won their first match of the day as they defeated the St. Thomas Tommies 4-0 in a week day morning matchup.  The Titans won the doubles point before winning three singles matches to clinch the match, 4-0. 

In doubles, the Titans won in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to secure the point in near dominant fashion.  The No. 1 pairing of Duffy/Garcia won 6-1 while the No. 3 pairing of Taylor/Yanotovskaya won 6-0.

In singles, the Titans won nearly every set that was played in the match.  Milena Gevorgyan double-bageled her opponent for the first win.  Kaytlin Taylor and Natalie Duffy each conceded only three games before the match was clinched.

The Titans were able to keep the momentum rolling as they defeated the Sacramento State Hornets 4-0 in their second match of the day.  The Titans once again won the doubles point to take an early lead in the match. 

The Titans won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles just like the match before to secure the doubles point over the Hornets.

In singles, the No. 5 and No. 6 spots by Camila Garcia and Kaytlin Taylor were won in straight sets to give the Titans a 3-0 advantage over Sacramento State.  Zoe Olmos eventually overcame the Hornet's No. 1 to secure the sweep and win for the Titans.  Natalie Duffy, Diana Yanotovskaya, and Milena Gevorgyan were all in their third set when their matches were abandoned.

The Titans will play two games at home next week when they take on Westmont on Thursday and UC Davis on Friday.  Both matches are set to begin at 1:00 pm
