IRVINE, Calif. - After having last weekend off due to rain, the Titans women's tennis team played their first match in 11 days and defeated the UC Irvine Anteaters 4-3 on the road at the Anteaters Tennis Stadium to win their second Big West Conference match.
The Titans secured the victory with one match to spare as Camila Garcia secured the win for the Titans as the fifth singles match to finish.
The Titans took an early lead in the match after securing the doubles point. The No. 1 and No. 2 pairings for the Titans (Duffy/Garcia) and (Olmos/Gevorgyan) secured the doubles point after the No. 3 pairing of Tagaloa/Nikitash lost their match.
Doubles
No. 1-Natalie Duffy/Camilia Garcia (CSF) def. 6-4
No. 2-Zoe Olmos/Milena Gevorgyan (CSF) def. 6-4
No. 3-Megan Tagaloa/Mariia Nikitash (CSF) were defeated 3-6.
Order of Finish: 3, 1, 2
In singles play, the Titans held a 3-1 lead after the first three matches in singles were played. The Anteaters got it to 3-2 before Garcia secured the win and got the 4th point for the Titans. The Anteaters got a consolation point at the end of the match after the Titans had already secured the victory.

No. 2-Zoe Olmos (CSF) defeated Alyssia Fossorier (UCI) 7-5, 6-0
No. 3-Milena Gevorgyan (CSF) lost to Asha Gidwani (UCI) 7-5, 4-6, 5-10
No. 4-Camila Garcia (CSF) defeated Haily Huynh (UCI) 7-5, 6-1
No. 5-Mariia Nikitash (CSF) lost to Amanda Perez (UCI) 4-6, 0-6.
No. 6-Kaytlin Taylor defeated Larissa Teramura 6-4, 6-1
Order of Finish: 5, 6, 2, 1, 4, 3
The Titans return home to Titan Courts for a 9-game homestand beginning with three games next week against Furman, Boston, and Youngstown State.
