FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team defeated the UC San Diego Tritons 5-2 in their first match of Big West Conference play on Monday afternoon at the Titan Courts.  

The Titans took an early 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point to start the match.  The No. 1 pairing of Natalie Duffy/Camila Garcia and No. 2 Kaytlin Taylor/Zoe Olmos both won their match-ups.

DOUBLES
No. 1 Natalie Duffy/Camila Garcia (CSF) defeated Ella Pachl/Sophie Pearson (UCSD) 6-2
No. 2 Kaytlin Taylor/Zoe Olmos (CSF) defeated Kelly Leung/Naomi Nguyen (UCSD) 6-3
No. 3 Mariia Nikitash/Megan Tagaloa (CSF) were defeated by Rachel Wagner/Katelyn Vu (UCSD) 7-5. 

In singles, the Titans secured the win with two matches to spare after Kaytlin Taylor, Natalie Duffy, and Mariia Nikitash won their matches.  Camila Garcia won her match next and Zoe Olmos lost the final match of the game falling in three sets.

No. 6 Katelyn Vu (UCSD) def. Megan Tagaloa (CSF) 6-0, 6-2

The Titans go on a three-game road next as they will head to Fresno this weekend to take on BYU and Fresno State.  They play at UC Irvine next Friday before finally returning home for 9 straight games.
