IRVINE, Calif.- Cal State Fullerton just picked up their fourth conference win as they blanked UC Irvine 4-0.
Fullerton moves to 12-4 this season, with four matches left in the regular season.
This win at UC Irvine is the fourth away win of the season for the Titans.
The Titans now sit on top of the Big West rankings with three matches left in the regular season.
The team counts four wins and one loss in conference play. They still have to play UC Santa Barbara who is second with three wins and one loss.
This is the fourth consecutive win for the Titans against the Anteaters.
DOUBLES
The Titans picked up the first point of the day as they won the doubles at No.1 and 2.
Karla Portalatin and Sarah Nuno only allowed their opponent to score one game on Court No.1. With their 6-1 win, the Titans only needed one more doubles win to get the first point of the day.
On Court No.2, Masako Makiba and Caisey Lee Emery won their match 6-2 and allowed Fullerton to take the early lead in this dual.
SINGLES
Jadie Acidera was the first one to finish her singles match. She took the win in two sets 6-2, 6-0 to give the Titans their second point of the day.
Acidera is still undefeated in dual singles this season.
Genevieve Zeidan also won in straight sets. She dominated Amiri 6-4,6-2 on Court No.3. The Titans only needed one more point to clinch the win.
Sarah Nuno was the one to secure the win as she topped Nguyen on Court No.2 6-2,6-2.
UP NEXT
The Titans will be back in action next weekend as they will travel to Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.
They will face Cal Poly on Saturday, Apr. 13th at 1:30pm P.T.
On Sunday, Apr. 14th, The Titans will battle against Santa Barbara at 10:00am P.T.
