FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans picked up one win this Friday on day one of the CSUF Spring Invite tournament.

After a delayed start because the courts were still wet from this rainy week, the Titans took the courts against Santa Clara University to play three doubles matches.

Sarah Nuno and Eira Tobrand were teaming up for the first time ever to face Santa Clara's duo of Pothoff and Tabachnik. The Titans were able to pick up their first win of the weekend with a 6-3 win.

In singles play, the Titans faced a really strong opposition. University of Denver won the seven singles matches against the Titans.

Sarah Nuno was the only Titan to force her opponent into a third set but dropped the game after a long battle.

Tiani Jadulang was close to make the game last longer as she served twice to win the second set but ended up losing in a really close tie-breaker at the end of the set.

The Titans will be looking to bounce back tomorrow as they will face Fresno State University for three doubles matches at 9am PT.

Then, they will take the courts again at 10:15am to face Santa Clara in 6 singles matches.
