LONG BEACH, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton closed out the Beach Tennis Tournament on a high note, as half the Titans won half of their matches on Sunday in Long Beach.
Petra Such, Tiani Jadulang and Casey Lee Emery each brought home three more wins for the Titans.
The highlight of the day came from Petra Such who was able to win the Doubles Consolation bracket in Flight B. She was paired up with extra player from CSUN Sibel Demirbaga for the tournament. After losing their first game on Friday, the two managed to win the consolation bracket in final match against Portland State's duo of Upeniece/Knecht with a score of 6-3.
The two other wins of the day came in the singles extra matches. Casey Lee Emery now owns a 2-1 record in singles play this season. Her second win of the weekend was a dominating 6-1, 6-2 victory over Portland State University Eszter Zador.
Tiani Jadulang blanked Portland State's Ashley Knecht 6-0,6-0. Jadulang now has a 2-1 record in singles play after this weekend's tournament.
The Titans compiled a total of 12 wins this weekend at Beach Tennis Tournament organized at Long Beach State University.
