ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif.  – Sophomore Camille De Leon won twice in singles action to advance to a quarterfinal match in the consolation bracket as part of the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invitational held at The Jack Kramer Club on Friday.

In the first round of consolation play, De Leon defeated UTEP's Raven Bennett, 6-4, 6-0, before moving past Northwestern's Nina Van Oost, 6-4, 6-0 in the second round.

De Leon will play UC Santa Barbara's Stephanie Yamada in Saturday's quarterfinal.

Sarah Nuno also won her first round singles consolation match, defeating UC Riverside's Sara Khattab in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, but the sophomore fell to BYU's Savannah Ware in three sets, 3-6; 6-4; 10-8, in the second round.

Karla Portalatin suffered a 6-0, 6-3 loss to 50th-ranked Caroline Dailey from South Carolina in the singles round of 16.

In addition, both Titan doubles teams suffered losses in the round of 32. Nuno and Portalatin will play in a consolation doubles match on Saturday.
