SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis doubles team of Camille De Leon and Alexis Valenzuela advanced to the round of 16 with an 8-4 victory over Grand Canyon's Emilia Occhipinti and Lana Rinaldi on Friday afternoon at Barnes Tennis Center as part of the ITA West Regional.

In consolation singles action, Valenzuela defeated UC Riverside's Sarah Khattab, 6-0, 6-0, while Sarah Nuno edged Olivia Larsson of San Diego State, 6-4,7-6 (3).

Sophomore Masako Makiba also picked up a victory in three sets defeating SDSU's Alli Valk, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.

The Titans will also compete in extra singles matches on Saturday.
