2013 Big West All-Academic

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2013-14)
Finished the season with an overall record of 7-11 in singles action and a 6-7 mark in singles dual competition…played at three different spots in the lineup: No. 4 (2-5), No. 5 (3-2), No. 6 (1-0)…completed the year with a 3-1 record against Big West competition… recorded wins against opponents from Georgetown, Colorado State, Cal State Northridge, UC Davis and UC Riverside…in doubles play, finished the year 10-11 overall and 8-9 in dual play…at the No. 3 spot, partnered with Rebekah Ermac (1-2) and also teamed with Melanie Abella (0-4)…at No. 2 doubles, found success paired with Alexis Valenzuela as the team finished 7-3 including a 2-2 mark in the Big West…ended the season on a four-match wining streak… recorded wins against opponents from Colorado State, Amherst, Wyoming, UC Riverside, Cal Poly and 55th-ranked Long Beach State.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2012-13)
Named to the Big West All-Academic team and was named the team’s co-Most Valuable Player…was one of three player with double digit victories, finishing dual match play with an 11-10 record, including a 5-4 Big West record – the most conference wins for a Titan during the 2013 season…competed at the No. 4 (2-1), No. 5 (3-6) and No. 6 (5-3) positions in the lineup… in doubles play, teamed with Emilia Borkowski (6-8, 3-2 Big West) and Rebekah Ermac (6-3, 2-2 Big West).

2011-12
Missed the year with an injury.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11)
Completed her rookie season with a 10-22 overall singles record, including a 6-18 mark in dual match play... competed anywhere from No. 3 to No. 6 in the lineup, posting her best record (4-8) at the No. 5 position... started strong with four wins in her first five fall singles matches, claiming the singles consolation title at the Cal State Fullerton Fall Intercollegiates with a straight-set win over Portland State's Marti Pellicano... her eight wins over regional opponents ranked second only to teammate Morgan McIntosh... combined to go 6-23 overall in doubles play, teaming up with Morgan McIntosh to post a 4-18 mark in doubles play, competing mainly at the No. 2 position... Sandford and McIntosh were the only Titan doubles team with multiple Big West Conference wins on the year.

ORANGE LUTHERAN HS
Played two seasons for the Lancers, competing at the No. 2 position... helped Orange Lutheran to the Trinity League title and a trip to the CIF finals as a senior.
