AS A SENIOR (2013-14)
Did not compete in dual spring action…finished the year with an 0-3 overall record…partnering with Devyn Billingsley, competed in fall doubles action with a mark of 0-5.

AS A JUNIOR (2012-13)
Named the team’s most improved player following the season…finished 1-1 during fall competition and did not compete in the spring…in doubles play, finished the fall 0-2, playing with Jessica Pepa.

BEFORE CSF: Played two years at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif • In 2011 finished first in the South Coast Conference in both singles and doubles competition • The 10-11 Mounties also won the SCC championship.

LOS OSOS HS: A 2010 graduate Los Osos High School in Alta Loma, Calif. Lettered four years, winning the Baseline League team championship for three consecutive seasons (07-09) • Also won the doubles championship for three straight years (07-09) • Was a scholar athlete for four consecutive seasons (06-09) and served as team captain for three years (07-09).

PERSONAL: Born in Placentia, Calif. • Parents are Scott and Rita Penner • Has two younger sisters (Alyssa and Natalie) •Major is child and adolescent studies • Career goal is to become an elementary school teacher or broadcast journalist • Cousin Hope Penner, is a senior tennis player at Point Loma • Father Scott played tennis at Long Beach State • Major is child and adolescent studies • Favorites include: Kim Clijsters, Andy Roddick (tennis players), Dodgers Stadium (sports venue), Andre Ethier, Matt Barkley (athletes), Train (musical artist), Dodgers (athletic team), Indian Wells (tennis venue), "When Harry Met Sally" (movie), "The Great Gatsby" (book), Audrey Hepburn (actress), Mexican (food).
