Titans Return to Action, Host Loyola Marymount

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women' tennis team returns to action on Wednesday to host Loyola Marymount in a non-conference match at the Titan Tennis Courts.

The match against the Lions (9-7, 2-2 West Coast) will mark the first competition date in the last two weeks for Cal State Fullerton (10-11, 3-4 Big West), who finished the month of March with a record of 4-7.

Fullerton News & Notes
Fullerton's 10 wins are the most wins for the program since the 2004 team finished the year with a mark of 12-10. The Titans' record in Big West Conference play of 3-4 is also the best mark for the program since the league started round-robin play in 2006.

Fullerton plays just one match this week, and will return to action on Tuesday, April 16, at UC Irvine. Wednesday's match against LMU is the final match of Fullerton's seven-match homestand that started on March 12 vs. George Washington.

Last Time Out
The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to visiting DePaul University on March 26 at the Titan Tennis Courts.

With the loss, the Titans fall to 10-11 overall in 2013, while the Blue Demons improve to 10-7.

The Titans were swept in singles play, but started the match with a point after winning two of three doubles matches.

The team of Morgan McIntosh and Kalika Slevcove (13-6) won its sixth match in row, defeating Matea Cutura and Kelsey Lawson, 8-6, at No. 2 in the lineup.

Also, the team of Rebekkah Ermac and Megan Sandford improved its record to 3-2 after defeating Jarret Fisher and Zaina Sufi, 8-5, at No. 3 in the lineup.

Opponents
No. 73 Loyola Marymount (9-7, 2-2) has won six of its last eight matches heading into Wednesday's meeting with the Titans. Against Big West Conference teams in 2013, LMU boasts a 3-2 record with wins over Long Beach State, Cal Poly and UC Riverside and losses to UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara. Last season, the Lions swept the Titans, 7-0, at LMU.
