FULLERTON, Calif. – The five-match win streak established by the Cal State Fullerton women's tennis was snapped in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Nevada at the Titan Tennis Courts.
The Titans (6-5, 2-1 Big West), lost the first point as Nevada (4-3) won two of three matches in doubles play. Fullerton then dropped four of its six singles matches in the lineup.
Monica Rodriguez earned one of the two singles wins with a 4-6, 6-1 (10-8) decision against Sheila Smiley. For Rodriguez, it was her third win in 2013.
Redshirt sophomore Megan Sandford extended her team-leading win streak to six matches with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Monika Magusiak.
The Titans return to action at 2 p.m., Monday, hosting 51st-ranked Boston College at the Titan Tennis Courts.
