SUMMER 2006: One of 18 players to help lead the Stratford Brakettes to a record 27th Amateur Softball Association Women's Major Fastpitch National Championship... posted a perfect 8-0 record in the circle with a 0.30 ERA in nine games... struck out 92 batters in 46 innings, allowing only seven hits and two earned runs (three overall) while walking seven... at the plate, hit .400 (52-for-130) with three home runs, four doubles, 11 triples, and 37 RBI in 43 games... in the winner's bracket final, she allowed only three baserunners in a one-hit, 6-0 shutout victory over the Storm USA from Corona, Calif., striking out 12 and adding an RBI double in a four-run third inning... in the championship game, Baker scattered six hits and struck out 10 in the 7-3 victory over the Southern California Sliders of Yoma Linda, Calif. At the plate, she also added three hits, including a sixth-inning RBI triple.


2006 (JUNIOR): Started all 61 games for the Titans as a pitcher, shortstop, and second baseman... earned NFCA All-West Region First-Team honors as a utility player... named to the All-Big West First Team at two different positions (pitcher and utility player), becoming the first Titan to accomplish that since Gina Oaks and Jodie Cox both did it in 2003... the Titans' ace in the circle, Baker appeared in 37 games (30 starts) and posted a 22-10 overall record to go with a 2.16 ERA... struck out 259 batters in 210.2 innings... held opponents to a .194 batting average... posted six solo shutouts... led the Big West in batting average against, strikeouts, and strikeouts looking... became the 22nd pitcher in school history to reach 20 wins in a single season with a 4-2 win over Cal Poly on May 7 and the first since Jodie Cox in 2003... the 265 strikeouts rank fourth on the school's single-season list... struck out 10-or-more batters nine times on the year to lead all Big West pitchers... set a career high with 18 strikeouts against Washington on March 18... hit .204 at the plate with five home runs and 16 RBI... ranked second on the team with 36 runs scored... walked 18 times and stole a team-high eight bases.


2005 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 49 games, making 48 starts as a pitcher and utility player... named to the All-Big West Conference Second Team as a utility player and was a first-team NFCA All-West Region honoree at that same position... hit .265 with a pair of home runs and 24 RBI... ranked fourth on the team in hitting, finished third in RBI, and led the team with four triples... finished tied for second with 18 walks and led the team with 10 steals in 13 attempts... hit .283 in Big West play with 12 RBI... ranked tied for third with 10 multi-hit games... made 17 starts in the circle, going 9-11 with a 2.56 ERA... Struck out 102 batters in 115 innings while holding opponents to a .203 average... struck out a career-high 11 batters in a 5-0 victory over North Carolina (Mar. 16), allowing only three hits... named Big West Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 9 after earning wins over No. 2 UCLA (Feb. 5) and No. 7 Georgia (Feb. 6) in back-to-back starts.


2004 (FRESHMAN): Saw significant time all over the diamond as a pitcher, shortstop, and second baseman... hit .252 with three home runs and 24 RBI, while also leading the team with 13 doubles... slugged .401 and finished second on the team with six steals... got her first career hit (and home run) in a season-opening loss to No. 16 Oregon... had a career-best three hits against UC Santa Barbara (May 15)... went 4-16 in the circle with a 4.44 ERA in 27 appearances (21 starts)... pitched her first career shutout vs. Portland State (Mar. 5)... struck out 92 in 115 innings... had a career-high nine strikeouts in a complete-game win over Northwestern (Mar. 24)... Also had eight strikeouts in back-to-back starts against Portland State (Mar. 5) and Oregon State (Mar. 6)... 10 of her 21 starts in the circle came against nationally-ranked or receiving votes opponents.

Played four years of varsity softball for the Centurions as a pitcher, second baseman, and shortstop... led Cypress HS to Empire League titles as a sophomore and a senior... a four-time, first-team All-Empire League selection... three-time All-Orange County Selection, including first-team honors as a junior and senior... named Empire League Player of the Year as a senior... first-team All-CIF Division III in 2002 and 2003... also played four years of volleyball.

Born Dec. 13, 1984, in Anaheim, Calif... parents are Barton and Jean... has an older sister, Kristen, and a younger sister, Brittany... Kristen played softball at Louisiana-Monroe (2002-05)... majoring in child and adolescent studies... selected the Titans over Florida State, UCLA, Michigan, Florida, Baylor, Tennessee, Oregon State, Arizona State, Fresno State, and Washington... has been a member of five ASA National Championship-winning squads (1997, 1999-00, 2002-03).
