FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton Softball Head Coach Kelly Ford signed a three-year contract extension through the 2026 season, Athletics Director Jim Donovan announced Friday. 

"Coach Ford has done everything we asked her to do as the leader of the nationally renowned Titan Softball program," Donovan said. "I'm very pleased to see the quality of recruits Kelly and her staff are signing, along with the winning culture she has instilled. This extension is to show everyone that Kelly, her staff and team are doing what needs to be done to continue bringing home Big West Championships to Fullerton and NCAA postseason berths.  

Ford led the Titans to a 34-21 overall record and 20-7 record in Big West play during the 2023 season. She led the Titans to the NCAA Regionals for the 31st time and the 6th time during her tenure as the head coach. The Titans achieved their highest RPI mark at #18 after playing one of the toughest schedules in the country last year and made it to the postseason with an at-large bid.  During the past seven full seasons, the Titans have finished in first place five times and second place twice in the Big West Conference.  

"I would like to thank Jim Donovan for offering me this opportunity," said Kelly Ford.  "I am fired up to continue chasing championships for the Titans. There is nowhere else I would rather be. Let's get to work Titans!"

The Titans have had multiple all-conference selections every year with Ford at the helm and have produced Five Big West Player of the Years, Two Defensive Player of the Years, Two Pitcher of the Years, and Six Freshman of the Year awards.
