IRVINE, Calif. - Freshman pitcher Dani Martinez racked up her fourth Big West Softball Freshman of the Week honor with three productive outings against rival Long Beach State.

• The right-hander recorded a 0.58 ERA over 12.0 innings as she appeared in all three games with two of those victories against the Beach.

• Martinez notched her second save of the season in the 5-2 series-opening win. She tossed two perfect innings of relief with three strikeouts.

• The middle game featured a pitcher's duel that did not end up favoring Martinez. She went the distance in a 1-0 defeat, allowing just four hits and the one run in 6.0 innings. Martinez did not walk a batter and fanned three.

• Martinez pitched 4.0 innings of relief in Sunday's 9-6 series-clinching win. She allowed three hits and three unearned runs while retiring two via strikeout.

• Martinez has appeared in the circle in eight consecutive games and leads the Titans in innings pitched with 109.2 on the season.
