FULLERTON, Calif. - Freshman Dani Martinez had another fantastic week for the Titans and was awarded her third overall and second consecutive Big West Freshman of the Week.

• For the third time this season, Cal State Fullerton pitcher Dani Martinez garnered Big West Softball Freshman of the Week accolades.

• The right-hander appeared in all three games against CSUN and the Titan hurler finished the week 1-0 with a save and 1.14 ERA.

• She walked just three and struck out 11 in 12.1 innings pitched, allowing just a pair of runs.

• Martinez came out of the bullpen in her first two appearances. She allowed one run in five innings of Friday's 5-2 loss to the Matadors. She threw a near perfect 2.1 innings of relief for the save in Saturday's game two 7-3 victory. Martinez struck out three in her relief stint.

• The Bellflower native earned the start in the rubber game of the series and recorded the complete game victory in a 9-1 triumph. She allowed just one hit and one run while fanning five.
