FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton (16-9) topped Boston University, 3-1, to open up the Easton Invitational on Thursday night.
The Titans got the scoring started in the first as Alexa Neil led the inning off with an infield single. After stealing second, she would come around to score on a Deshea Hill double.
Fullerton would tack on some much needed insurance in the second. Irie Siofele led the inning off with a single and moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt. Neil would drive her in with a double to left-center and Ari Williams would follow that with a triple to dead center making it a 3-0 ballgame.

Boston would plate a run in the fourth after three straight singles against Dani Martinez, but the freshman right-hander did a great job to limit the damage.
Sophie Frost came out of the bullpen to throw the final two innings recording her first save allowing just two hits while striking out a pair.

The Titans are back in action tomorrow night against Harvard to cap-off the second day of the Easton Invitational.
