FULLERTON, Calif. – With the season less than two weeks away, Titans softball welcomes ten newcomers to the program and this series goes "in the dugout" with each of them to get to know who they are. Next up is Alexa Neil.

Neil is a 5'6" utility player from Ramona, California. She comes to Fullerton after four years of varsity of softball and a year of varsity golf at Ramona High School. With the Bulldogs, she put herself in the San Diego record books when she set the single-season hit record with 71. Accolade-wise, she also earned three All-League First Team selections, an Athlete of the Year award, an MVP award and took home a 1090 San Diego Female Athlete of the Week award. She also helped her team to four league championships as well as a second place finish in Open Division CIF. Academically, she graduated with a 3.6 GPA and received Golden State Seal Merit.

"Alexa is dynamic and versatile," says head coach Kelly Ford. "She will bounce between infield and outfield and I expect her to lead the offensive charge off for us."

Alexa is the daughter of Mike and Janet Neil and has two older siblings, Jesse and Taylor. She is majoring in Criminal Justice and hopes to become either a physical therapist or a sports trainer. When asked why she chose to be a Titan, she said, "I love the program. The coaches and players were all very friendly and family-oriented and that really stood out to me. Also, the campus is close to home for me."
