FULLERTON, Calif. – Sophomore pitcher Taylor Dockins has been selected to be the next recipient of the Judi Garman Determination award. She will receive the award at softball's Leadoff Social Fundraiser on January 26.
The award serves as a lifetime achievement award given to people who have made a long-lasting impact on the Cal State Fullerton softball program. She will be just the fourth recipient of the award following past recipients Julie Max, Pam Newton and Deb Hartwig in previous years.
"I have seen Taylor compete and she is fierce," says Judi Garman. "I am so very honored that she is the 2019 recipient of this award and I look forward to handing her the award in person at the Leadoff Social."
Dockins continues her battle off the field as she fights against liver cancer. The sophomore remains an inspiration to not only her team, but the entire softball community as she goes through her training for the 2019 season.
