FULLERTON, Calif. – Junior Trish Parks was absolutely stellar against UC Riverside this past weekend and earned her first career Big West Pitcher of the Week.
The right-hander appeared in all three games against the Highlanders and totaled 12 scoreless innings only allowing five hits while striking out eight.
Parks made a brief appearance in game number one retiring both batters she faced in the top of the seventh before the Titans ultimately fell 4-2.
She earned the victory in game two throwing a five-inning complete game as the Titans won the game 8-0 and clinched the Big West Championship for the third straight season. Only allowing three baserunners in the game, Parks struck out seven en route to her third shutout of the season.
She came out of the bullpen in the series finale, throwing 6.1 scoreless innings in the 2-1 eight-inning walkoff victory. The junior scattered just three hits in the outing and picked up her 10th win of the season.
