FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton (10-10) dominated in all aspects as they defeated Boston University (8-11) by a score of 6-0 on Friday night.

Sophie Frost continued to absolutely dominate in the circle tonight recording another complete game allowing just five hits and holding the Terriers scoreless while striking out two. In her last three starts, she is 3-0 with three complete games, two shutouts, and has only surrendered one run.

The offense stayed red hot at the plate, recording 13 hits tonight. They've recorded 10 or more hits in four of their last five contests. Emily Randall led the way tonight going a perfect 3-3 with a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored. Brooke Clemetson, Sammie Vandiver, and Deshea Hill all recorded multi-hit games in this one. Clemetson has reached base in 12 consecutive games now. Both Clemetson and Hill have each recorded multiple hits in the last five games for Fullerton.

Frost set the tone early getting three groundball outs to set down the Terriers in order in the opening frame. She allowed a leadoff single in the second, but the runner never got past second as she retired the next three to end the inning.

The second inning was a historic one believe it or not as Ari Williams singled to lead it off. She followed that up by stealing second tying the all-time program record for stolen bases in a career. Three pitches later, she took third. It was the 60th stolen base of her career and it made her the sole record holder for stolen bases in Titan history. She would come in to score thanks to an RBI single from Randall.

The Titan offense proceeded to score in every inning after that as well. They got two in the third thanks to Randall's second RBI single of the night followed by a bases loaded walk to Shianne Brannan. In the fourth, a sac fly from Deshea Hill would plate Clemetson for the fourth run of the ballgame. In the fifth, Randall would strike again crushing her first homer of the season and second of her young career. And just for good measure, Fullerton would get run number six on the night thanks to an RBI double from Hill that brought Vandiver in to score.

Plenty of run support for Frost, but she only needed one tonight as she cruised through the Boston lineup inning after inning. She allowed a single in the third, but shut it down; recorded a 1-2-3 inning in the fourth; a single in the fifth, but a double play ended the inning; and another three-up three-down inning in the fifth. She did struggle a bit in the seventh as the Terriers got runners on the corners with only one out. But, Frost got out a shallow flyout to Vandiver and a groundout to Hill to end the ballgame.

Fullerton will be riding a lot of momentum now as they get set for No. 16/17 Ohio State and Seattle tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
