NCAA Softball Bracket
FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton softball team will make its 27th appearance in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship Friday, May 19 at 6 p.m., when the Titans take on San Jose State in the Los Angeles Regional. The field of 64 teams was announced Sunday evening by the Division I Softball Committee.
Cal State Fullerton is one of four teams along with Lehigh, San Jose State and host, UCLA, in the Los Angeles Regional
The Titans (33-21, 16-5 Big West) secured a spot in the NCAA Regionals after winning the Big West Conference title last weekend. Cal State Fullerton received an automatic bid with a series victory over CSUN as the Titans will make their second straight trip to the NCAA postseason.
CSF will play San Jose State which is 36-17 overall. The Spartans made their way into the NCAA Tournament by winning the Mountain West Conference with a 16-8 league record.
Overall, Cal State Fullerton is 31-10 against Fresno State in program history. The Titans are 26-10 when playing the Spartans.
