Full Big West Release

Irvine, Calif.- Cal State Fullerton senior Cerissa Rivera (Westminster, Calif./Monmouth) earned her second straight Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week honor as she struck out 18 hitters in 19.0 innings of work.

The right-hander won both of her starts against UC Riverside, allowing just three walks and one unearned run in total.  

Rivera allowed just three hits in a complete game 3-1 victory in game two of the series.  She walked one and struck out 10.  In the rubber game, she pitched all 12 innings as the Titans eked out the 1-0 victory in a pitcher's dual.  Despite allowing 12 hits, Rivera kept the Highlanders off the board and struck out eight.

She is now 4-1 on the season.
