FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton softball's home opener was cut short on Friday evening as the Titans and the University of Pacific battled through four innings before a steady dose of rain arrived at Anderson Family Field.
The game has been postponed and the conclusion of the contest is to be determined. Pacific took a 2-0 lead in the third inning off a two-RBI double from Sydney Lahners who drove in Molly Bourne and Hailey Reed. Fullerton had a few opportunities to drive in runners in scoring position but couldn't' connect through the first three innings.
The final game of the day, Fullerton vs. Ole Miss, was canceled due to rain and will not be made up at a later date.
Tomorrow's schedule for day two of the Easton Invitational will remain the same as listed on the schedule with Ole Miss and Pacific kicking off Saturday at 11 a.m. PT. The Titans will again have the nightcap on Saturday as the play Utah State, who went 2-0 on Friday, at 6:30 p.m. PT.
