CAL STATE FULLERTON
JUNIOR (2014): Missed first half of the season due to injury, but returned to appear in 24 games, making 22 combined starts between second base, designated player and outfield for the Titans in 2013-14…hit .246 with one home run, seven RBI's, 11 runs scored and two doubles...manufactured three multi-hit and one multi-RBI game during the season…launched her first career round-tripper against UC Davis on May 3…produced an eight-game hitting streak between Mar. 29-Apr. 12 (.423, 11-for-26, three RBI’s, four runs scored).
SOPHOMORE (2013): All-Big West Conference Second Team as a second baseman...after transferring from Southern Miss, she hit .330 with 29 hits, 16 runs scored, and a team-high five triples...finished sixth in the Big West Conference in batting average...her five triples this season ranks fifth-best in school history for a single season and she finished tied for the most this season in the Big West...had six multiple-hit games and stole 12 bases...against Cal State Northridge on May 11, she hit two triples in the same inning (5th inning, 3-for-4, two RBI's, one run scored)...her first hit as a Titan came versus McNeese State on February 11...currently has an eight-game hitting streak (.458, 11-for-24, six RBI's).
SOUTHERN MISS
California native played her freshman season at Southern Miss, batting .250 in 46 games with 15 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, and 16 RBI...finished third on the team with seven steals (in nine attempts).
SANTIAGO HIGH SCHOOL
Played four seasons at shortstop for the Sharks, earning All-Big 8 League honors as a junior and senior...hit .611 as a junior while posting a nearly perfect .998 fielding percentage en route to first-team all-league honors...helped Santiago HS to a CIF title as a senior, earning second-team all-league laurels while batting .400 with a .980 fielding percentage...also played one season of soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Parents are Brian and Carrie...has four siblings: Brianna, Cabria, Bailee, and Brice...nicknames are Rissa and Ris...intends to major in nursing...her mother played softball at Long Beach State, her father played two professional seasons with the Seattle Mariners in 1993-94, and her sister, Brianna played for both the soccer and softball teams at Oklahoma...played travel ball for the Courage of Gold squad...favorites include: Purple (color), Cody (Golden Retriever), Cassi (Maltese Poodle), "I dont know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future."-Tim Tebow, (quote), longboarding, surfing, going to church (hobbies), Oahu, Hawai'i (place already visited), Italy (would like to visit), Anderson Family Field (place to take visitors in Fullerton), bbq chicken (food), apples with peanut butter, teddy grahams with frosting, and gushers (snack), Dr. Pepper (drink), Boston Red Sox (athletic team), My dad, Brian Turang (athlete), A Walk to Remember (movie), The Voice (tv show), Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean (musical artists), Nicholas Sparks (books)...greatest accomplishment: Getting a scholarship to play softball at a D1 school... something most people would be surprised to know about me: my dad played MLB for the Seattle Mariners...I chose Fullerton because: Fullerton has a great nursing program...If I didn't play softball, I would play: soccer.
