Cal State Fullerton juniors Danielle Bitonti and Tamara Dewey were each named to the All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention Team as the league's all-conference teams were announced on Tuesday.

Bitonti earned her first career all-conference honor after starting 18 of 19 matches for the Titans in 2009 and finishing tied for the team lead with three goals and six points on the year. Two of her goals were game-winners, lifting Cal State Fullerton to wins over Hawaii (1-0) and Pacific (2-1) in double overtime.

Dewey was also named to the All-Big West team for the first time in her career after remaining a force on the back line for the Titans in 2009. Dewey, who scored a pair of goals on penalty kicks during the regular season, helped lead the Fullerton defense to one of its best seasons ever, limiting the opposition to just 18 goals on the year - good for fourth in the league and the third-fewest in school history.

It is the first time since the league began sponsoring the sport in 1996 that a Titan has not been named to either the first or second teams as Fullerton struggled to a 6-8-5 overall record and a 4-3-1 mark in Big West play.

The Titans, however, remained in the hunt for one of four postseason conference tournament berths into the final weekend and finished unbeaten in their final four matches (3-0-1) to close out the regular season with all three victories coming against conference opponents.

Regular season champion Cal Poly, tournament champion UC Santa Barbara, and regular season runner-up Cal State Northridge each led the conference with six selections apiece while Pacific (5) and UC Irvine (4) were close behind.
