Cal State Fullerton Women's Soccer Announces 2006 Recruiting Class

FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton Women's Soccer Head Coach Ali Khosroshahin has announced the signing of 10 high schoolers to National Letters of Intent to compete for the Titans beginning in the 2006 season.

The class is made up of eight Californians and a pair of standouts from the state of Idaho - a first for the Cal State Fullerton women's soccer program.

The Titans completed their best season ever in 2005, finishing with a 19-4 overall record and a trip to the third round of the NCAA Tournament with wins over UNLV and nationally ranked Southern California before falling to No. 6 Virginia in Charlottesville. Fullerton claimed its third Big West Conference regular season title in the last five seasons with a 6-1 conference mark and won the conference tournament for the first time in the history of the program.

Diana Signoriello, Forward/Center Mid (Covina, CA - Charter Oak HS)
Four-year letterwinner for the Chargers... Second-Team All-Miramonte League as a sophomore... First-Team all-league as a junior... part of the Olympic Development Program... member of the Slammers FC club team... born in Naples, Italy.

Mandy Puffinberger, Center Mid (Monrovia, CA - Monrovia HS)
Four-year letterwinner for the Wildcats, who were CIF finalists this season... First-Team All-CIF Division IV... helped Monrovia HS to the CIF championship game... First-Team all-league as a junior.

Lynsey Domene, Center Midfielder (Anaheim, CA - Esperanza HS)
Four-year letterwinner for the Aztecs... Third-Team All-County selection for league champ as selected by the Orange County Register... two-time All-Sunset League honoree... led the team in scoring as a sophomore with 16 goals... finished senior season with three goals and five assists as Aztecs advanced to the second round of CIF playoffs.

Danica Ramirez, Defender (Ventura, CA - Buena HS)
Four-year letterwinners for the Bulldogs... Three-Time All-CIF pick, including first-team honors as a junior... Former ODP pool member (2003-05)... CIF Division II Semifinalists in 2006... CIF Champions in 2005... first-team All-Channel League as a sophomore and junior.

Tamara Dewey, Defender (Murrieta, CA - Murrieta Valley HS)
Four-year letterwinner for the Nighthawks... NSCAA Scholar-Athlete All-American in 2005-06... three-time All-Southwestern League honoree her freshman-junior seasons... twice named Defensive MVP and was the team MVP as a junior... three-time Defensive Player of the Year for her club team (Freedom United)... helped the Nighthawks to an undefeated season as a junior - a season that included 17 shutouts.

Courtney Heinen, Forward (Encinitas, CA - San Dieguito Academy)
Four-year letterwinner for the Mustangs... Earned first-team All-North Coastal League honors as a junior... Second-Team All-CIF San Diego Section Division III honoree as a junior... helped San Dieguito Academy to a 14-6-2 overall record and the CIF Division III Semifinals in 2006 before falling to eventual champion Cathedral Catholic... also played three seasons of softball.

Jackie Hovda, Midfielder/Defender (Emmett, Idaho - Emmett HS)
Three-year letterwinner for the Huskies... First-Team Southern Idaho Conference selection in 2004 and 2005... Conference Player of the Year in 2005... class valedictorian... Club team (Boise Capitals) are seven-time state champions and 2004 Surf Cup Gold Champions.

Molly Monahan, Midfielder (Eagle, Idaho - Eagle HS)
Second-Team Southern Idaho Conference selection and Best Offensive Player in 2004... Honorable Mention conference selection and team MVP in 2005... first-team all-conference as a freshman while leading the team in scoring.

Geminesse Martinez, Forward/Defender (Upland, CA - Upland HS)
Two-year varsity letterwinner for the Highlanders... CIF semifinalists as a junior... Baseline League Champions as a senior... CIF Division I champions as a senior with win over Harvard-Westlake... second-team all-league as a junior... Surf Cup Champions with FC Barcelona in 2004.

Danielle Bitonti, Midfielder (Winchester, CA - Chaparral HS)
Four-year letterwinner for the Pumas... two-time All-CIF selection, including first-team honors as a senior... Four-time All-Southwestern League honoree, including Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior.
