FULLERTON, CA - San Diego junior Stephanie Ochs scored twice within 2:15 of actual game time on Sunday night, helping lift the visiting Toreros to a, 2-1, non-conference women's soccer victory over Cal State Fullerton in front of 331 fans at Titan Stadium on Sunday night.

The Titans, playing in front of the hometown crowd for the first time in almost a month, dropped their second straight and their sixth in their last seven matches in falling to 3-8 overall on the year to finish out non-conference play. Fullerton opens Big West Conference action next weekend in Northern California at UC Davis on Friday (Oct. 8) and Pacific on Sunday (Oct. 10).

USD won back-to-back games for the first time since the beginning of September in improving to 7-4-2 overall on the season.

Jackie Zinke assisted on both of Ochs' tallies on the night to bring the Toreros back from a 1-0 deficit after Fullerton senior Christina Murillo put the Titans up early. Murillo's sixth goal of the year came in the 31st minute as she took the ball at the top of the box and fired it in from the right corner for the 1-0 advantage.

Murillo's strike gives her 17 career goals which ties her for sixth all-time in school history alongside current assistant coach Lauryn Welch (2003-06) and Tennli Ulicny (1998-01). She has now accounted for five of the Titans' last eight goals in 2010.

San Diego then rallied in the final minute of the half on Ochs' first goal of the night, fighting off a defender on her right shoulder and left-footing a ball underneath a diving Fullerton keeper to even the match with just 1:04 remaining in the half.

Ochs and Zinke then wasted no time in hooking up a second time just 1:12 into the second half as Zinke corralled a turnover and laid off a short pass to Ochs streaking into the box, where she beat the keeper one-on-one from about seven yards out for the game-winner.

For Ochs, they were her sixth and seventh goals of the season while Zinke tallied her third and fourth assists of the year.

Fullerton, which has had its last three matches all decided by a single goal, outshot San Diego, 9-7, for the match - only the third time in 11 matches this season that the Titans have held the advantage in that category. Murillo finished with three of those shots - all three on frame - while six other Fullerton players finished with a shot on the night.

Ochs led all players with five shots - four on frame - for the Toreros.
