FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton senior Christina Murillo had a goal and an assist while three other players also found the back of the net, leading the host Titans to a 4-0 shutout victory over Eastern Washington in front of 214 fans on Sunday afternoon at Titan Stadium.

Murillo, Nikki McCants, Geminesse Martinez, and Lauren Mellano each scored their first goals of the year, pacing Fullerton (1-1 overall) to a 20-7 shot advantage and a 10-2 lead in corner kicks on the afternoon. Of the Titans' 20 shots, 15 came as part of a three-goal second half as they limited the Eagles (0-1-1) to just two shots after halftime.

McCants netted the first of her career with a little help from the post as her cross from right side ricocheted in off the left post in the 15th minute for the 1-0 lead. Shots were tied at 5-5 after the first 45 minutes before the Titans opened the floodgates in the second half.

Martinez got the scoring started in the second half as her unassisted strike from 25 yards out on the left side found the right side netting in the 66th minute, making it a 2-0 contest. Murillo bent in a corner kick in the 70th minute for her first goal of the year and launched a free kick into the box with seven seconds remaining in the match, finding freshman Lauren Mellano on the back post for the final goal.

Murillo and redshirt freshman Kishi Smith each finished with four shots on the afternoon while 10 Titans total finished with at least one shot. Whitney Brannan had two of the Eagles' seven shots.

Junior Jordan-Michelle Santos and sophomore Jessica Change combined on the shutout with Santos logging one save in 82 minutes and Change saving a pair in just over eight minutes of play.

Eastern Washington's Jamie Walker made one save in the first half and allowed two goals for EWU before returning with just over 15 minutes to play. Lisa Dimak started the second half, allowing two goals but making three saves in just under 30 minutes of action.
