LONG BEACH, Calif. – After giving up a goal in the first half, Cal State Fullerton scored two goals in the second half to earn a 2-1 victory over Long Beach State Thursday night at George Allen Field. The Titans are now 9-2-1 this season and 2-0 in Big West play.
Trailing by a score of 1-0 in the 55th minute, Atlanta Primus drew a foul to earn a free kick just outside the 18-yard box. Primus then lined up a beautiful strike to tie the game at 1-1 for her ninth goal of the season. Primus now has a conference-best 28 points this season.

Just 11 minutes after Primus' game-tying free kick, Maddie Bennett stole the ball around midfield and took it the distance to score what would be the game-winning goal in the 66th minute of play. Bennett's goal matched Primus for the team-high with nine on the season. She now has 22 points on the year, ranking third in the Big West.

The Titans created several great chances throughout the 90 minutes as six of their eight shots were on goal. Noa Schumacher had a strong game in net for the Titans to limit Long Beach to just one goal as she recorded four saves on the night.
Fullerton returns to the pitch Sunday night as they travel to Riverside to face the Highlanders with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. PT.
