FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's soccer recorded its first shutout of the 2018 season on Sunday in a 3-0 win against Fresno State. Atlanta Primus scored a goal and assisted on a Nano Oronoz goal while Alyssa Shelton buried a goal as well.
The Titans (2-3-1) out-shot the Bulldogs (1-3-1) 14-4 and won seven corner kicks to their five. CSF controlled the game throughout to remain unbeaten on Sundays this year, with each result coming on just one day of rest. Goalkeeper Tianna Sanders faced just two shots on target and saved both of them in her shutout performance.

Fullerton struck first and didn't look back. Primus' third assist of the season was a sublime lob through ball to Oronoz who was streaking up the left wing. Oronoz received the ball and was 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper and she didn't stand a chance as Oronoz beat her low and to the side for her fourth goal of the season to give the Titans a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute. All three of Primus' assists this year have been to Oronoz.
The Titans extended the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute when two subs, Alea Acosta and Alyssa Shelton, combined on the left side of the field as well. Acosta played a through ball to Shelton who was able to get the shot off and past the goalkeeper who was racing towards her to score her first-career goal as a Titan.
Oronoz and Primus linked up once again but this time Oronoz delivered the assist and Primus scored the goal in the 66th minute. The duo were at the top of the 18-yard box when Oronoz dumped off a short pass to Primus who fired with the outside of her right foot to beat the goalkeeper and score her first goal of the season and eighth of her career.

The Titans hit the road next to play at San Jose State on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT.
