FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton's associate head coach Michael Thomas has left the program after accepting the head coach position at the University of South Dakota after four seasons as a member of head coach Demian Brown's staff.

"I am extremly happpy for Michael Thomas.  He is well deserving of this and I know he will do a fantastic job," said head coach Demian Brown. 

Thomas helped guide the Titans to four consecutive Big West Tournament trips. Fullerton won 45 matches with Thomas as a part of the staff in those four seasons. During that span, Fullerton has had three Tournament MVP awards, Christina Burkenroad (2), and Morgan Bertsch and NSCAA All-American Rebecca Wilson.  The Titans are currently the reigning Big West Tournament Champions as they finished the regular season fourth in the division with a record of 11-5-3 (3-3-1). In three out of Thomas's four years here, the Titans progressed to the first-round of the NCAA Tournament. 

The Titans won two regular season championships, and three Big West Tournament Championships while Thomas was apart of the staff. The program has broken records in the Big West Conference with most consecutive trips to the conference tournament with six.
