Cal State Fullerton officially begins its 25th season when Seattle visits Titan Stadium on Friday, Aug. 18. The Redhawks have claimed each of the last four Western Athletic Conference regular season titles and three of the last four WAC Tournament crowns. In 2016, SU rolled through the WAC, going a perfect 7-0 in the regular season and then winning the WAC Tournament, advancing to the 2016 Division I Women's Soccer Championship.

The match will mark the fourth consecutive year that the Titans will open the season at home.

Fullerton's schedule includes four opponents that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2016, three that were ranked in the top-50 of the final RPI and 13 that boasted winning records. Fullerton will host 11 matches at Titan Stadium.

Following its season opener, the Titans will endure a four-match road trip to Fresno State (Aug. 20), BYU (Aug. 25), Utah State (Aug. 27) and Saint Mary's (Sep. 1).

The Bulldogs concluded the 2016 season with a record of 10-8-1, while the Cougars (18-3-1) won their fifth straight West Coast Conference championship and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament before suffering a 1-0 loss to South Carolina.

Utah State concluded the 2016 season with a 12-9-0 record which included a 1-0 win over Fullerton at Titan Stadium, while the Titans will travel to Moraga to play the Gaels (5-13-2) after a 2-1 victory against SMC in 2016.

Fullerton will conclude non-conference play with its next five matches at home: Utah (Sep. 3), Iowa State (Sep. 8), Utah Valley (Sep. 10), San Diego (Sep. 22) and Grand Canyon (Sep. 24).

The Utes' (13-4-5) best postseason run in program history came to an end with a 1-0 loss to eventual NCAA champion USC in the third round of the 2016 championship. Iowa State and Fullerton will meet for the first in the history of the two programs after the Cyclones went 10-8-1 in 2016. Utah Valley (10-8-2) and the Titans will also be playing one another for the first time.

San Diego (Sep. 22) and the Titans will play one another for the 18th time in program history as the Toreros lead the series 11-6, and concluded last season with a 10-8-1 record. The Titans end the non-conference portion of their schedule hosting Grand Canyon (7-9-2) on Sep. 24 in the first meeting between the programs.

Fullerton will open Big West Conference play at home hosting defending Big West regular season champion CSUN on Sunday, Oct. 1.

The Titans will travel to UC Riverside (Oct. 5) before making the trip to Long Beach to play the defending Big West Tournament champion on Oct. 8.

Fullerton will then host UC Davis on Oct. 15, before traveling to Cal Poly on Oct. 19.

Following the match with the Mustangs, Fullerton will host UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 22) and Hawai'i (Oct. 26).

The regular season concludes in Orange County at UC Irvine on Oct. 29.

The Big West Tournament (Nov. 2 & 5) will be held hosted by the Matadors on the CSUN campus.

Cal State Fullerton finished the 2016 season with an 8-10-1 overall record and 5-3 mark in Big West Conference play. The Titans made their fifth straight appearance in the Big West Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed and fell to UC Irvine on penalty kicks.

Prior to 2016, the Titans had won three consecutive Big West Tournament titles and made three straight NCAA tournament appearances, including tying USC, 3-3, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 13, 2015, but failing to advance to the second round on penalty kicks.

In addition, the Titans won a share of the 2015 Big West Conference regular season championship, marking the third time in the last five years (2012, 2014, 2015), the Titans earned the title as well as the program's eighth regular season championship overall.

In 2016, Cal State Fullerton had six players nab Big West All-Conference honors. Sarah Fajnor, who will be returning for her senior season in 2017, was the Titans lone selection to the Big West All-Conference First Team after leading the Big West in goals scored during conference games.
