QUICK HITS

• Cal State Fullerton recorded its first road victory of the season on Oct. 23, blanking Hawai'i 3-0.

Kaycee Hoover and Atlanta Primus each recorded their first career goals at Hawai'i.

Sarah Fajnor notched her team-leading fifth goal of the season at Hawai'i. All five of her goals have come during Big West Conference action.

• Head coach Demian Brown is in his 10th season at the helm of the Titans. Cal State Fullerton is 91-84-25 under Brown. In conference play, the Titans are 44-29-6 under Brown with four Big West regular season championships and four Big West Tournament titles, including an active streak of three straight.

IN THE POLLS

The Titans, Matadors and Anteaters are all unranked in this week's NSCAA Top-25 poll. The Matadors are currently ranked No. 6 in the NSCAA West Region poll while the Anteaters are ranked No. 4.

OPPONENT AND HISTORY

At CSUN

7 p.m. | Friday, Oct. 28 | Matador Soccer Field

• The Titans head to Northridge to take on a Matadors team that leads the conference in shutouts.

• Fullerton has won three straight meetings against the Matadors by identical 1-0 scores. The Titans are unbeaten against Northridge in the last four meetings and have not lost to the Matadors since falling 1-0 in overtime at the Big West Conference Tournament held at UC Irvine on Nov. 4, 2012. The Titans have not dropped a match at Matador Soccer Field since Oct. 28, 2010.

• The Matadors have set a new school record this season with 13 shutouts with two matches left on the season. They have allowed just eight goals this year.

• Goalkeeper Jovani McKaskill has 12 shutouts on the year and a combined shutout as well. She has played 1,731 minutes and 20 seconds of a possible 1,734:32. She boasts a .896 save percentage and has made 69 stops on the season.

• Offensively, the Matadors have five different players with multiple goals. Camille Watson leads the team in scoring with 10 points overall (3 goals, 4 assists) while Cynthia Sanchez and Lindsay Kutscher also have three goals on the year.

UC Irvine

2 p.m. | Sunday, Oct. 30 | Titan Stadium

• The Titans and Anteaters close out the 2016 regular season on Sunday afternoon with their 25th all-time meeting. Fullerton currently leads the series 12-8-4 with identical home and road records of 6-4-2 against the UC Irvine.

• The Titans have won two straight matches against the Anteaters, both at Titan Stadium by a combined score of 5-2.

• The Anteaters are currently in first place in the conference thanks to their 12-5-1 overall record, the most wins by a team in the Big West this season.

• Offensively, UC Irvine is led by Kiana Palacios' nine goals and 23 points overall. The Anteaters have outscored opponents 28-11 on the season and also have 36 assists overall as a team, led by Noel Baham's seven helpers.

WHAT'S THE SCENARIO?

With two games left in the regular season, the Titans control their own destiny despite currently sitting in third place with 12 points, one behind CSUN and UC Irvine. But if the Titans pull out two wins against the Matadors and Anteaters this week, they will clinch the outright regular season title, which would be the ninth in program history and third straight. Long Beach State currently sits in fourth place to round out the potential Big West Conference Tournament field but there is a three-way tie for fifth place with UC Santa Barbara, Hawai'i and UC Davis all sitting with seven points. The Gauchos and Aggies play each other on Thursday with one of those teams needing a victory and a 49ers loss on Friday to stay in the race for fourth. A tie between UCSB and UCD and any type of result garnering points for the 49ers would eliminate both teams. The Rainbow Wahine face CSUN and UCI this weekend as well, needing wins against the top two teams in the conference to have a chance at the tournament next week.

FAJNOR LEADING THE WAY

Sarah Fajnor once again found the back of the net in Fullerton's 3-0 win at Hawai'i. She has now scored five goals in the last six matches she has played, all of them in conference play. Her five goals are the most scored in conference play this season while her 11 points in conference are also tops in the Big West.

FIRST TIMERS

Kaycee Hoover and Atlanta Primus each scored their first career goals on Sunday in Fullerton's 3-0 win over Hawai'i. Hoover notched the first goal of the match, which also turned out to be her first game-winning goal. Primus would score the team's final goal of the match for her first career NCAA point.

SIMONIAN SAYS

In the Titans' win over Hawai'i, defender Jessica Simonian became the first player to record two assists in a match since Rebecca Wilson had a pair of helpers against UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 5, 2015. Simonian assisted on the team's first two goals against the Rainbow Wahine and now leads the team with four assists on the year, three of them coming in conference play.

STUART APPROACHING HISTORY

Redshirt senior and reigning Big West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year Jennifer Stuart logged her third shutout of the season with Sunday's 3-0 win at Hawai'i. It was also the 16th clean sheet of her career, which is tied for second all-time in CSF history with Lindsay Maricic (2010-13), who Stuart backed up when she arrived at Cal State Fullerton. Stuart has also recorded 32 wins in her Titans career, which ranks second on the Titans all-time record book behind Karen Bardsley, who won 47 games in her Cal State Fullerton career.
