FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans host the Fullerton Tournament presented by Embassy Suites Brea-North Orange County this weekend. The Titans will face UAB for the first time ever and then face Oregon on Sunday, with UC Irvine also participating in the tournament.

TICKETS | BUY ONLINE

Single-game tickets for Cal State Fullerton women's soccer can be purchased online at fullertontitans.com or on game day at the ticket window. Cal State Fullerton students receive free admission to Titan home games with their Titan I.D. card.

FRIDAYS AT FULLERTON:

Friday's game against UAB will be the third installment of "Fridays at Fullerton" at Titan Stadium. Cal State Fullerton athletics is introducing the new "Fridays at Fullerton" membership club, which is designed to enhance the Titan Athletics game day experience. Fridays at Fullerton will feature a beer/wine hospitality area at every Friday home competition for all sports with Friday events. In order to gain access, one must either join one of the Titan Athletics Booster Clubs by giving at the level designated for that specific sport and receive access for two (2) for each of that sport's Friday at Fullerton hospitality area OR give a $2,500 donation to any Titan Athletics program and receive access for two for ALL 2016-17 Fridays at Fullerton hospitalities (a total of 30). The following women's soccer games will be a part of Fridays at Fullerton this season: Sept. 30 vs. UC Riverside. Please note that Fridays at Fullerton access does not include event admission.

PARKING FOR HOME GAMES | BUY ONLINE

Parking for games played Mon-Thurs. is $8. Permit machines located in lots A, D, G, S and on the ground level of the parking structures accept Discover, MasterCard, and Visa, only. The machines located in surface lots accept $1 & $5 bills only. Parking can also be purchased online by visiting the Cal State Fullerton Parking and Transportation website. Daily permits are valid in student lots and parking structures, unless restricted. After 4pm daily permits are valid in College Park Faculty/Staff. After 6pm daily permits are valid in Lots A Faculty/Staff, E Faculty/Staff, C-West, and C-East. Parking for Fullerton games played on weekends (Fri.-Sun) is free after 5 p.m. Friday through the weekend. Please plan accordingly when attending an athletic event at Cal State Fullerton.

QUICK HITS

• Cal State Fullerton looks to get a winning streak going as they face UAB and Oregon this weekend in the Fullerton Tournament. The Titans shutout San Jose State on Sunday afternoon, 1-0, on the strength of Tala Haddad's goal in the second minute of play.

• Haddad's goal was the second of her career and first since 2014, her freshman season. It was also her first game-winning goal.

• Goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart picked up her first clean sheet of the season with Sunday's victory. It was the 14th shutout of her career, which ranks third all-time in the Cal State Fullerton record books. She trails Lindsay Maricic (16 SO, 2010-13) for second all-time. Karen Bardsley holds the all-time record with 26 clean sheets from 2002-06.

• UC Irvine will also be participating in the Fullerton Tournament. They will face Oregon on Friday to kick off the tourney at 5 p.m. and then play against UAB on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

• Head coach Demian Brown is in his 10th season at the helm of the Titans. Cal State Fullerton is 86-78-25 under Brown.

FULLERTON TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

The tournament gets started Friday evening at 5 p.m. as UC Irvine takes on Oregon followed by the Titans and UAB at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, UC Irvine and UAB get the day started at 2 p.m. with the Titans and Oregon playing the final match of the weekend at 5 p.m. Tickets for all matches this weekend are available on FullertonTitans.com.

OPPONENT AND HISTORY

UAB

7:30 p.m. | Friday, Sept. 9 | Titan Stadium

The Titans face the Blazers for the first time in history. The Blazers come into the weekend having won two straight matches by a combined score of 7-1, including a 3-0 shutout over McNeese State on Sept. 4. They are lead offensively by Caroline Kehrer, who has tallied three goals on the season to go along with one assist. Goalkeeper Kelsey Daugherty has started all five matches and made 17 saves this season, notching a 1.60 goals against average including one clean sheet.

Oregon

5 p.m. | Sunday, Sept. 11 | Titan Stadium

The Titans and Ducks wrap up the weekend at Titan Stadium in the last match of the tournament. Fullerton is 1-1 all-time against the Ducks with their only matchup at Titan Stadium coming on Sept. 28, 2003, a 5-0 victory for the Titans. The last meeting between the two came on Sept. 7, 2014 in Eugene, where the Ducks pulled out a 2-1 victory in double overtime.

QUICK STRIKE

Tala Haddad's goal against San Jose State came in officially at 1:41 of the first half. It is the sixth fastest goal scored to start a match in Cal State Fullerton history and quickest since Connie Caliz scored 56 seconds into Fullerton's match against Long Beach State on Nov. 9, 2014.

ENDING THE DROUGHT

In addition to being one of the fastest goals to start a match in program history, Tala Haddad's goal ended a scoreless drought for Fullerton that lasted 307:34 from Aug. 19-Sept. 4, the sixth longest scoreless streak in school history and longest since Aug. 23-Sept. 11, 2009.

FRESH FACES GETTING A CHANCE

Freshmen Alea Acosta and Dani Baldwin and junior-transfer Johana Rosas all got their first career starts over the weekend. Acosta and Rosas were each in the starting 11 for the Titans in Sunday's victory over San Jose State while Baldwin got her first start on Friday against Utah State.

HALFTIME LEADERS

In five matches this season, the Titans have led at the half twice and trailed twice. They have won both matches in which they hold the lead at the break and lost both matches in which they trailed after 45 minutes. Friday night's match against Utah State was scoreless at the half, a match the Titans would go on to drop, 1-0.
