SOPHOMORE (2015) Fullerton’s starting defensive midfielder, appearing in 21 matches and making 20 starts…totaled three assists on the season…assisted on Fullerton’s second goal in a 2-0 shutout of LMU (09/25)…assisted on the Titans second and fourth goals, respectively, in a 6-3 win over San Diego (09/27)...Fullerton managed a 1.01 goals against average, held opponents to 5.6 shots on goals per game and totaled eight shutouts on the year…helped the Titans begin the season with a 6-0-1 mark, a new program record, while guiding Fullerton to its third regular season championship in the last four years as well as third consecutive Big West Conference Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance…in Big West games only, the Titans led the league with a 0.50 goals against average.
FRESHMAN (2014) Named to the Big West All-Freshman Team after playing in 18 matches while making 12 starts…at different times in the year started on both the backline and as a defensive midfielder…helped Cal State Fullerton as the Titans won the 2014 Big West Conference regular season and tournament championships while making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament…also played a role as Fullerton set a program record with an eight-match unbeaten streak (6-0-2) in Big West Conference action…helped the Titans finish the regular season on a 10-match unbeaten streak and a seven match-winning streak…the Titans’ shutout streak of 326 minutes, 26 seconds from Oct. 5-23, marked the ninth longest in program history...Fullerton’s seven shutouts tied for third in the Big West as did the Titans’ 1.02 goals against average…in Big West games only, the Titans tied for the league lead with five goals allowed and a 0.59 goals against average.
HIGH SCHOOL A 2014 graduate of Troy High School in Fullerton, Calif…a four-year letterwinner for Ed Kephart playing both central midfield and central forward…a four-time all-Freeway League selection earning second team honors as a freshman and sophomore and first team accolades as a junior and senior…a two-time all-county pick earning third team honors as a junior and second team accolades as a senior…voted Troy’s best offensive player three times (2012-2014)…also in 2014 following her senior year was named the Freeway League Best Offensive Player and team MVP.
PERSONAL Born in Brea, Calif…parents are Tom and Cindy Hoover…has three sisters, Cairo, Shea and Riley, and one brother, Tommy…sister, Shea, is a sophomore forward/midfielder at Long Beach State…from 2010-2014 played for head coach Doug Swanson with West Coast FC at central midfield, left fullback and forward…championships included: 2013 West Coast Futbol Classic, 2013 PDNPL; finalists included: 2011 Las Vegas Players Showcase, and 2010 West Coast Futbol Classic; semifinalists included: 2011 West Coast Futbol, 2011 Cal South National Cup. 2010 Surf Cup and 2010 Far West Regional.
