AURORA, Ore. – Just three tournaments into the season, Cal State Fullerton women's golf has set the record for most tournaments won in a single season after its third consecutive victory Tuesday at the Rose City Collegiate with a score of nine-over par 585.
Fullerton was led by Elsa Lundquist and Brittany Shin who finished the tournament tied for second place with a score of 3-over par 219, finishing just four strokes behind the leader.
Lundquist shot a 70, 78 and a 71 to finish the tournament while Shin shot a 73, 67 and 79. Shin has finished in the top-20 in each of her first three collegiate tournament.
Lisa Djerf finished just two strokes behind with a score of 5-over par 221. Djerf began the tournament with a 70 before shooting a 78 in round two and a 73 in the third and final round.
Nodoka Honda placed tied for tied for 16th with a score of 11-over par 227 while Sofia Legaspi finished tied for 55th with a score of 26-over par 242.
The Titans return to the greens Oct. 14 and 15 at the Pat Lesser Habbottle Invitational looking to finish the fall slate a perfect four-for-four.
